To all real estate developers:

What do we (i.e. the good people in the real estate development industry) do now? I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I've come to one conclusion..... NOTHING. Yep, that's right. Go on vacation. Click below for more detail:

    If you just can't follow the "do nothing" approach I recomend hiding out in a foreign country for a while. I chose China.

    Time in a foreign country will not in itself solve the problem. Their economies are coming unwound as well. China, in particular, is about to experience some new stresses.

    An alternative suggestion is this: Go back to school and luxuriate in a lovely academic setting. If you think this paradigm shifting economic adjustment will last only a couple of years - get a Master's Degree. If you think it will be longer (as I do) get a PhD.

    You forgot the "Are you crazy?" condition for which the "yes" points to: Start an online shopping site in the middle of a global depression. ;-)

    I agree. Start the online shopping site. Sell books that tell people how to survive a global depression (remember to tell them that when food supplies run out to resort to cannibalizm. J/K).
